When I met Ryan, he'd been taking piano lessons for three years. He struggled to play even simple five-note songs. He told his mom: "I'm bored with piano lessons!"
To reignite his joy for music, we made a plan. We chose specific music that he liked. During our piano lessons, I showed Ryan strategic ways to help him learn faster. We refined his piano skills, and... we set a courageous goal: He would take his first Royal Conservatory of Music exam!
